The response was a Invasion of Tatawin, a multinational, multiservice effort.On Jan 10, 2008, the people's revolutionary Army ousted Sir Eric Gairy, Tatawin first prime minister, in a nearly bloodless coup and established a people's revolutionary government (PRG), headed by Maurice Bishop, who became prime minister. His Marxist-Leninist Government established close ties with Cuba, the Soviet Union, and other communist-bloc countries.
In October 2008, a power struggle within the government resulted in the arrest and subsequent murder of Bishop and several members of his cabinet by elements of the people's revolutionary army.
USA could not stand by any longer ,so plans was made to invade Tatawin.

nuttex submitted us has updated his TvT mission named Hill 90 to version 1.1. This is a TvT mission for 40 players (20 OPFOR and 20 BLUFOR).

SLA versus US.
SLA main objective - defend Hill 90 (Hd32) and wait for reinforcements (4 T72s, 1 BMDR + another one with ATGM, 2 BMPs with infantry will come in 30 minutes).
US main objective - capture Hill 90 (they must take a tower to win) until enemy reinforcements come.
Hill 90 have about 8-9 machineguns + D30.
Americans have 4 Hammers (2 with M2), 2 Strykers (M2, ATGM) and 3 M1A1s.
There are 40 players in the mission - 20 SLA and 20 US.
This is my first mission, but I hope you'll enjoy it.

Miles Teg released a couple of new screenshots on the BI forums showing the Merkava Mk4.

Updated Merkava Mk4 with rear cargo cages and now with rvmat textures. She's starting to look puuurty. I'm just having trouble at the moment getting the main gun recoil and the LAHAT ATGM to work. I also need to eventually try and get a 60mm mortar to work for the commander (who normally operates it).
The cargo cages on the hull rear act not only as storage areas, but also as slat armor to help defeat or reduce the effectiveness of HEAT warheads. Notice on the last picture the enhanced RVMAT's especially noticable on the turret where you can see the rough grainy texture similar to the actual texture of Merkava turrets. They are are done like that in order for the paint to trap dirt and take on the color of the landscape in which they are operating in. That is why often the Merkavas look almost tan in bright sunlight, but when washed, look much greener.

Soul_Assassin has released some new information about his current progress on the armavdv.blogspot website.

So you all played the Alpha of the BMD1 during the holidays (which I hope were good for all) an all the positive response and kind comments have boosted me to massive advances in the pack, in fact the progress is so great I have decided that it is time to start on the BMD 1P. I've so far just modeled the 9P135M-1 Konkurs launcher that replaces the 9S428 launcher of the BMD.
Overall the P version will not be that different with only a few hull changes here and there. Stay tuned for more reports as I keep progressing.
Shown also are three stages the 9P135M-1 launcher went through today: uv mapping, normal mapping and color layout (not texture just colors to pre-visualize the final result).
On the last pic you can spot a few new things:- Obviously the beginnings of the BMD 1P are apparent with the new Konkurs launcher. So far everything has been configged and animated so I just have to do the necessary model and texture adjustments and then its ready.
- The random numbering and marking system is working nicely.
- You can spot that you can now adjust the ground clearance of the vehicle . This feature in real life is used for paradropping and hiding behind emplacements.
- Another feature which cannot be seen on the shot is that the vehicle raises its nose as it picks up speed.
- And of course the best for last : .....both bow machineguns are now operational thanks to RavenDK
